Follow the guidelines on this page for writing scripts that will carry out different roles on your Web site. Home Page Web Video Tapmedia recommends an introduction video that is up to 30 seconds long and about 100 words in length (use the word counter in the bottom left corner to check how many words you have written). If you choose to have a graphic display itself, include the words "click here" (Please submit the URL link that the graphic should link to with your script). Why? We recommend this length because studies have shown that the time-span in which audiences can commit to watching a new, unfamiliar video is about 30 seconds, just like television commercials. If you have more content, we recommend directing users to an area of your site dedicated to the explanation of your company and/or products where a Web video could be used interactively. Sub-page Web Video Tapmedia recommends that you be creative with sub-page Web video. You can write longer scripts, anywhere from 60 to 120 seconds or 200 to 350 words in length.
